Dear Shouters,
What do you think? You have been shouting and whispering quite a lot of times on ShoutOutLounge. Do you think our whispers are too loud?
Since the launch of the Whisper module, we have been receiving mixed feedback from Shouters. On one side, it is said that whispering should emulate real life and if someone actually whispers to someone else in front of you, you should know about it. After all, you are looking directly at it happening. Also, it shows activities. Imagine if everyone is whispering, it would be a quiet day at ShoutOutLounge. On the other side, whispering is said to be a sensitive activity that can cause misunderstanding just by suddenly whispering to someone. Someone would be sensitive and thought the whispering is about you and all sorts of bad thoughts may occur.
So what do you think? Which side do you think is right? Let us know what you think in the comments. Just type in ‘Whispering should be private’ or ‘I like Whisper just the way it is’. Please give your reasoning behind the suggestion
Let’s say we got more votes on Whispering should be private, then we’ll change way whisper works. Whisper will no longer be displayed for the public to see, only the whisperer and the whisperee will see it. Of course, if the vote go the other way, we’ll leave Whisper as it is.

i prefer the person involved to see the content only.. noneed show who is whispering to who.. eliminate all problems, hassle and 'sensitivity' around. :)
unless the whisper kantoi-es, then we all will know who's whispering to who and about what. Haha!
whisper ahhh...
its still a good feature though, if ppl feel it annoying.
then just hide "a has whispered to b" msgs, work done!
or be personalized, create options for users. eg.:
do you want others to see when you whisper? YES/ NO
this way nobody argues!

To me its a good feature. it works like private message. well, i think that the whisper activity message should be removed. No point for showing it off right. =)
i vote for 3rd party not able to see any whispering going on..
I'm fine with the current one, actually..
but i agree though..
when A whispers to B in front of C..
definitely C will feel urm left-out(+boiled up curiousity)
its kinda real-time impact here..lol
I find it fun to see this one whisper to this one. Well maybe those who find it annoying can off the setting for their account? Is that possible? Default just put like how it used to be lor. XD
I support hugo's suggestion in which there'll be an option and it's sometime annoying seeing people whispering sampai tak habis and I agree with :
"Someone would be sensitive and thought the whispering is about you and all sorts of bad thoughts may occur."

wow, everyone is voting for it to be privatised.
I think that it should be left unseen by others or else it gets boring sometimes to go to SO and see everyone whispering.
I think Hugo agogo's suggestion is quite good actually.. Let there be a choice/ option, if possible.. :D
